GIFTS IN MEMORY/GIFT IN HONOR
One of the most thoughtful ways to honor or remember a special person
is to make a gift in their name. Gifts may be made to acknowledge significant
events, graduations, anniversaries, or other achievements. Many giving
levels exist for this thoughtful way to recognize a special person. Gifts
may take the form of individual contributions designated to the general
fund or may be designated for named gifts such as scholarships, rooms,
gardens or trees, equipment funds, or buildings. Acknowledgement of gifts
of honor will be made to the honoree, gifts in memory to a designated
family member. The amount of the contribution will not be mentioned. Please
be sure to provide the following information:
Name of the person being honored or memorialized;
Purpose for the gift (graduation, birthday, marriage, anniversary, other);
Name and address of the individual to be notified of the gift.

“In my twenty years working in higher education, I have found there are students who need encouragement to complete their studies when times are tough. By supporting the SCF Foundation with my pledge, I can make a difference in someone’s
life which will encourage them to continue and not give up.” Cindy Hunter, Continuing & Community Education Director, Neel Society Member |

“I give to the foundation because I appreciate how hard it is for some students, especially first generation students,
to obtain the necessary resources to attend and graduate from college. I believe that every student is entitled to the opportunity to obtain a quality education and a
degree that is respected in the community. I am happy to know that my gift plays a small part in helping a student accomplish that goal and I am honored to be part of
this wonderful effort.
