Where Does the College Need Your Support the
Most? Every college, academic department and program has specific
needs that are critical to its future success. A dynamic academic environment
is one that is ever changing, fostering exciting new ideas and innovative
ventures. Fortifying The State College of Florida’s historic mission while
sustaining the college’s ability to provide an accessible, dynamic learning
environment requires a partnership with loyal supporters who recognize
that their gifts can and do make a difference throughout the academic
enterprise.
As we look ahead, one of the greatest capital challenges facing SCF over
the next several years will be the acquisition of funding to design, construct
and equip facilities and programs to accommodate our ever increasing enrollment
and technological demands. The needs of a growing college are already
outpacing State allocations. Sustaining managed growth will require both
new and renovated facilities, new and upgraded equipment, as well as additional
dollars for faculty support and program development.
We have a choice as we plan for the future – our college can become average,
allocating only funds from tuition and State revenue to operate, or we
can continue to be the extraordinary college we have become. Being EXTRAordinary
requires that we fill the void left from tuition and State allocations
as we grow. To do this, we need YOU!
