SCF Foundation Presents the Barbara Jagielo Nursing Scholarship To Two Students.
(Bradenton, Fla., March 31, 2009) – Nursing students, Kasey Spivey and
Jennifer Righter from College of Florida were recently presented
with the Barbara Jagielo Nursing Scholarship.
The Barbara Jagielo Scholarship was established with a donation from Doug
and Nancy Dowe, owners of SpaRenity, A Day Spa and Wellness Center in
Bradenton, FL. The Dowes established the scholarship in the name of Barbara
Jagielo, a long-time client of SpaRenity and volunteer with SCF’s Nursing
program. Jagielo, a retired RN and Nurse Educator, enjoys working with
the students at SCF. “Barbara is special and she inspired us to inspire
others” according to the Dowes, when asked why they were interested in
establishing this scholarship.
