SCF Foundation Welcomes the Lakewood Ranch Professional Women’s Networking
Group to its Family of Scholarship Donors
(Bradenton, Fla., November 6, 2008) –
Students at College of Florida will benefit from a generous contribution
from the Lakewood Ranch Professional Women’s Networking Group and a matching
donation from Beverly Beall and Kemp Reichmann of the Beall-Reichmann
Foundation.
The State College of Florida Foundation accepted the $2000 gift at
a recent meeting of the networking group, also attended by Ms. Beall.
The funds will be used by the Foundation to award several scholarships
to non-traditional female students who are attending SCF in order to expand
their career opportunities.
The State College of Florida Foundation provides a vehicle through
which individuals, organizations and corporations may support the community’s
largest institution of higher education. In addition to awarding annual
student scholarships, the Foundation also assists the college with gifts
of opportunity including classroom instructional equipment, library resources,
endowed faculty chairs and other cooperative partnerships that permit
SCF to expand programs to serve “high need” areas of the community. For
